Half day Nuuksio National Park Hike from Helsinki, campfire lunch, Santa Claus, reindeers and Sauna

Visit Nuuksio National Park, one of Finland’s top nature attractions, and enjoy a trek by local guide. You’ll see tall coniferous forest, small forest lakes, and ancient cliffs covered by mosses and lichens. The hike includes charter bus transportation from Helsinki city center and campfire lunch/coffee and sweet buns.


The optional visit to Nuuksio Reindeer Park includes meeting the Santa Claus, feeding the reindeer, campfire coffee and a sweet bun by the cosy open fire of The White Reindeer Lappish teepee plus services from friendly staff.


The optional private traditional Finnish Sauna is the grande finale for your outdoor activity day at Nuuksio. Cabinet’s viewing balcony functions as the cooling down area where you can gaze the lake landscape. The sauna includes a terrace to chill with a lovely view over Lake Pitkäjärvi in Nuuksio.

If you’re planning a visit to Helsinki, be sure to include a half day for a trip to Nuuksio National Park, located within the boundaries of greater Helsinki. It takes about 30 minutes by our charter bus to reach the park from the city center.


You’ll be met in the Central Railway Station of Helsinki, and travel by charter bus to the park entrance.

You will safe 3 hours of day light and the all troubles compared to travel by commuter train from Helsinki city center to Espoo center and then take a local bus to the park entrance.


The park is ranked among the top 10 nature attractions in Finland and is a must-see. To get the most from your visit, it’s best to let an experienced guide to lead the way.


Enjoy the scenic beauty of the tall coniferous or mixed forest, with trees growing around enormous primeval rocks, in an area that’s rich with mosses and ferns. You’ll come across numerous small forest lakes.


The forest is inhabited by various animals, including such rare species as the Siberian flying squirrel, found in Europe only in Finland and Estonia.


With our guide you’ll trek through the tall forest, learn about the natural features of Finland, enjoy scenic views, and hopefully spot some wildlife.

Traditional Finnish Salomon Soup 

The National Park hike includes lunch which is made at campfire.

The traditional Finnish salomon soup has butter and cream but they are lactose free.

The soup can be made without dairy by request.

Traditional Finnish rye bread is served with the soup.

Mushroom Risotto

An alternative option for salomon soup is mushroom risotto made from Finnish mushrooms and vegetable stock.

This can be made dairy free and vegan versions by request.

Coffee & Sweet Buns

The Reindeer Park hike includes campfire coffee and sweet bun.

Also savour snack can be included and made at campfire.

Itinerary: 

  • Pickup from Helsinki Central Railway Station 10 am
  • Arrival to Nuuksio National Park 10.30am
  • Hike between 3-10 km depending the weather, conditions and group
  • Campfire lunch at 2 pm
  • Back to Helsinki Central Railway Station 4 pm

Itinerary:

  • Pickup from Helsinki Central Railway Station 10 am
  • Arrival to Nuuksio National Park 10.30 am

  • Campfire coffee and buns 1 pm
  • Back to Helsinki Central Railway Station 3 pm
